As Seminole County looks at how we work to help those experiencing homelessness, News 6 Getting Results spent time at Rescue Outreach Mission learning more about the issue.

Spend just a couple of minutes watching this important segment and hear from one of our tremendous success stories, Zion Sheffield. He was a guest at our shelter for several months but was able to end his experience with homelessness and was so inspired, he became an employee of our organization, helping others end their experience too.

“The people working here made a difference,” he told reporter Catherine Silver. “They showed me and reminded me that I am human.”

Our executive director, Chris Ham, spent time with Silver after addressing the Seminole County Commission about the organization’s needs over the next couple of years. He talked about another family that just found housing last week.

“Everyone deserves a safe place to call home,” Ham said.
