Volunteer at Rescue Outreach Mission

Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer at Rescue Outreach Mission. Please fill out the following form and we will contact you as volunteer opportunities open up.

It is easier to place groups for volunteering. Group opportunities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide and serve a meal for our guests.
  • Lunch = approximately 60 guests, served between 12 – 1 p.m.
  • Dinner = approximately 100 guests, served between 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
• Do a shelter update (painting, landscaping, etc.).
• Help with maintenance (cleaning, repairing, etc.).
• Host a supply drive.

The recommended group size is no more than 10 volunteers due to space in our shelter, but we have often been able to accommodate larger groups by splitting them into smaller groups with multiple projects.

Individual volunteer opportunities include, but are not limited to:

• Help in the kitchen with lunch/dinner prep
  • Mon, Wed, Thurs, Fri ~ 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
• Help with shelter updates, like painting and special projects
• Help with maintenance, like cleaning, repairing, etc.
• Help with keeping our donation closets organized
  • Mon, Wed, Fri ~ 2:30 – 4:00 p.m.
• Be a guest specialist assistant
  • Help monitor the door, assist guests with needs, help people dropping off donations
• Be an office assistant
  • Help with filing, shredding, and organizing reports

Many individual volunteer positions can be flexible once you have been trained. We do request that individual volunteers come on a recurring basis so that our guests and staff can plan accordingly. Basic background check required for all individual volunteers.
